Well done for posting this Chloe.
You have some good comments regarding the pose of the artists on the front cover and discuss most areas. Use the terminology; the writing on the front are 'coverlines' and consideer where these are placed. Think about the purpose of the different elements- the close up is to promote the artist. Look at the connotations of the colours used.
When analysing contents page, identify other elements used such as date, page, web address and what pictures are larger on the page and why.
As for double page spreads, look at how text and image are integrated and the overall layout and how this guides the reader. Look at column width and drop caps and other conventions such as page numbers.
